Chicken Bread

Ingredients
    For Dough:
    • All Purpose Flour - 2 cups
    • Lukewarm Water - 1/2 cup + 2 to 3 Tablespoon
    • Sugar - 1 Teaspoon
    • Active dry yeast - 1 Teaspoon
    • Oil - 1 Tablespoon + 1 Teaspoon( to brush on top )
    For Cooking Chicken:
    • Chicken Breast Piece - 250 Grams
    • Turmeric powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
    • Black Pepper Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
    • Water as required
    For Filling:
    • Oil - 2 Tablespoon
    • Crushed Ginger-Garlic - 1 Tablespoon
    • Onion, finely sliced - 1 cup, tightly packed, approx: 110 Grams
    • Bell Pepper, Capsicum - 1/2 portion of a large one, approx: 100 Grams
    • Crushed Red Chillies - 1 Teaspoon
    • Black Pepper powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
    • Dark Soy Sauce - 1 Tablespoon
    • Salt - 3/4 Teaspoon, adjust according to your taste
    For Arranging Bread:
    • Egg or Egg White, for brushing - 1 - 2 Nos, beaten
    • White Sesame seeds, as required, optional
    • Grated Cheese, as required, optional
    Directions
      Dough Preparation:
      1. In a large bowl, take half a cup of lukewarm water, 1 teaspoon sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast, mix well and set aside for 10 minutes. Be sure to use lukewarm water. If you are using regular yeast, add 1 tsp yeast and mix well.
      2. Then add 2 cups of flour, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1 tablespoon oil and mix well. Add 2-3 tablespoons of water and knead well for 6-7 minutes to make a soft dough.
      3. Now, apply a little oil on top of the dough, cover and leave it aside until the dough doubles in size. This will take about 1 to 2 hours.
      Cooking Chicken:
      1. Take enough water in a pan, add 1 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder and boil it.
      2. Add in 250 grams of chicken breast pieces and cook till the chicken is well done, about 15 minutes.
      3. Once the chicken is cooked, remove the chicken pieces from the water and set aside.
      4. Once the chicken is slightly cooled, mince the chicken pieces and set aside. You can store the chicken stock in the fridge for later use, if desired.
      Filling Preparation:
      1. Heat 2 tablespoon oil in a pan, add in the crushed ginger and garlic and saute until the raw smell disappears.
      2. Add in the finely chopped onion, salt and saute until the onion turns light golden color.
      3. Now add in the finely chopped capsicum and saute until wilted.
      4. Then add in crushed red chillies, black pepper powder and roast it slightly.
      5. Now add in the minced chicken and mix well.
      6. After that, add in the dark soy sauce and mix well.
      7. Remove the pan from the stove and set aside.
      Bread Making, Arrangement & Baking:
      1. Once the dough is doubled in size, sprinkle a little flour on the working surface and roll out the dough well.
      2. Now cut it into 8 equal portions and roll each portion into a rectangular shape.
      3. After that, spread 2-3 tablespoons of filling on one side of the sheet and roll it as shown in the video and seal the sides.
      4. Prepare the entire bread in the same way and arrange it on a baking pan lined with parchment paper.
      5. Now cover the prepared breads with a damp cloth and set aside for 30 minutes.
      6. Preheat oven to 350°F.
      7. Then place the baking tray in the middle rack of the oven, bake it for about 20-25 minutes.
      8. Once the top portion of the bread turns light golden in color, remove the baking tray from the oven.
      9. Serve warm and enjoy.
