Ingredients
- Fish Fillet - 500 Grams, skinless and boneless
- Vegetable Oil, to deep fry
- Breadcrumbs, as required
For Marination:
- Pepper Powder - 1 Teaspoon, adjust according to your preference
- Dark Soy Sauce - 1 Tablespoon
- Red Chilli Sauce - 1 Tablespoon
- Egg - 1
- Corn Flour - 1 - 2 Tablespoon
- Salt, to taste; Approx: 1/2 to 3/4 Teaspoon
Directions
Initial Preparation:
- Clean and wash the Fish fillet, then cut it into finger sized pieces.
- Pat dry the fish pieces by using a kitchen paper towel to absorb the water completely.
- In a bowl, add in the fish pieces and the ingredients mentioned under 'For Marination' and mix well.
- Set aside for 10 to 15 minutes.
Fish Fingers Preparation:
- Take enough breadcrumbs in a plate, then roll each fish pieces into the breadcrumbs.
- After rolling, gently press each fish piece with your palm and get it coated well. This will prevent the coating from falling apart while frying.
- Continue the process to coat all the fish pieces and set aside.
Frying Fish Fingers:
- Heat enough oil to deep fry in a heavy bottomed pan.
- Once the oil is hot, add the prepared fish pieces in small batches and deep fry until golden brown on medium heat . When deep fried, the fish will cook well within 1 to 2 minutes.
- Once the fish fingers are fried well, transfer to a plate and serve hot. Enjoy :)
