Ingredients
- Grated Coconut - 3/4 cup
- Brown Sugar - 1/2 cup, adjust according to your taste
- Tutti-frutti or candied fruit cake mix - 1/4 cup
- Chopped Cashew nuts - 2 Tablespoon
- Cardamom powder - ½ Teaspoon
- Egg white - 1 Nos
- Water, to seat the edges
- Puff pastry sheet, 1 nos
Directions
Initial Preparation:
- Thaw the puff pastry sheets as instructed in the package. Cut it into 6 pieces and set aside. I used 1 full sheet.
Filling Preparation:
- In a bowl, mix together the grated coconut, brown sugar, tutti-frutti, chopped cashew nuts and cardamom powder. Set aside.
Arranging & Baking:
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Sprinkle little all-purpose flour on the working surface, place a pastry sheet piece on it.
- Spread 1 to 1.5 tablespoon of sweet filling onto one side of the pastry sheet piece, then fold and seal the edges.
- Arrange the puffs in a baking tray, leave some space between each puffs.
- Beat the egg white and brush it on the prepared puffs.
- Bake for 15 – 22 minutes or until the puffs turn medium golden color on top.
- Serve warm.
