Kerala style Pearl Spot Fry, Easy Karimeen Fry

Ingredients
  • Pearl Spot Fish - 2 medium sized, approx: 500 Grams
  • Kashmiri chilli powder - 1 Tablespoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Black Pepper Powder - 3/4 Teaspoon
  • Curry leaves - 2 sprig
  • Coconut Oil, to fry
  • Salt to taste
Directions
  1. Clean the fish, make 3-4 gashes on each side of the fish. Wash properly and drain the water completely, set aside.
  2. Mix together the Kashmiri chili Powder, Turmeric Powder, Black Pepper Powder, salt and make a fine paste.
  3. Then apply it on the fish, don't forget to apply the masala in the gashes and inside the stomach cavity. Set aside for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Heat enough coconut oil in a pan.
  5. Add two sprigs of curry leaves to it, place the marinated fish on top of it.
  6. Fry on medium heat for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  7. Then remove it from the oil and serve hot.
