  • Substitute with Mangoes, Strawberries, or Mixed Fruits: If you don't enjoy kiwi or prefer to experiment with other flavors, it's simple to replace kiwis with other fruits. Ripe mangoes or strawberries will do perfectly well. You can even mix different fruits for a colorful fruit variation!

Ingredients Used:

  • Sago Pearls: They are the base of this drink. They become slightly chewy when heated, giving the dessert a pudding like texture. Sago absorbs coconut and condensed milk flavors, making it the perfect summer special drink.
  • Coconut Milk: Coconut milk adds a rich, creamy taste and a hint of tropical flavor to the drink. It's the liquid component which keeps the sago in position, so silky and smooth.
  • Condensed Milk: Condensed milk adds sweetness and a rich, velvety texture. It complements the coconut milk and balances out the slight tanginess of the fruit.
  • Fresh Ripe & Sweet Kiwis (or Other Fruits): Ripe Kiwis give a sweet, slightly tangy flavor that is well-balanced by the creamy drink foundation. They offer a fresh, fruity zing and bright green color.

Tips & Tricks to Improve the Flavor:

  • Chill the drink: - After combining the Cooked Tapioca Pearls, Coconut Milk and Condensed Milk, put the drink into the refrigerator and chill for about a couple of hours. The chilling will heighten the flavor and make it more refreshing. Just before serving, add diced fruits.
  • Add a Little Vanilla Extract: - A few drops of vanilla extract can provide a beautiful depth of flavor that harmonizes with the tropical flavors. It's completely optional.
  • Toast Some Coconut Flakes: - Sprinkle lightly toasted coconut flakes over the drink when serving will provide texture and a nutty taste. This is also completely optional.
  • Layer the Fruits: - Rather than mixing all the fruits in, have a go at layering them at the bottom of the drink for a more dramatic-looking dessert.

Serving Suggestions:

  • Serve in Individual Cups: - Serve the drink in small bowls or cups for a neat and elegant presentation. Top with a slice of kiwi or some extra pieces of your choice of fruit.
